Mason’s Fishing Story

Rocky Mountain Guide Ventures is the best ! I heard about them through a friend and thought I would try their service on my way to visit Yellowstone last summer. Me and my Uncle decided to book one of their half day fishing trips as part of our vacation to spend some time together in the outdoors. Our guide “Jacob” made it a very pleasant and exciting adventure. I have to say, this was everything that we expected and more. I am currently planning another trip this spring and looking forward to what that time of year has to offer.

Lowell’s Fishing Story

Last July I booked a guided trip down the Salt river not knowing what to expect. When the day started out I had forgot to get my fishing license and relayed this to our guide. He not only was understanding, but gave us a ride to obtain it and stepped us through the complete process making sure we were all set up for a successful day of fishing. His patience, understanding, knowledge and professionalism was amazing! Suggesting what to use, taking us to where the fish were, stopping to take pictures of wildlife on the way, and even taking the time to let us soak in the atmosphere while having lunch that was provided. This was absolutely the best guided trip I have been on to date, and would defiantly recommend them to any of my colleagues and friends !!!

Fishing Stories Are Not The Only Stories

Cheryl’s Story

As a landscape and wildlife photographer, I try to explore new areas of the United States at various times throughout the year. Although born & raised on the west coast with my heritage being on the east coast, many summers were spent back there. It has always been on my bucket list to make it to the Rocky Mountains and I accomplished this last fall. I chose Wyoming due to the variety of wildlife & beautiful landscape/rivers throughout. Originally, I was going to explore on my own but decided on researching “Guided Tours” as this was foreign territory for me. “Definitely one of my best decisions during my travels! I booked my tour with Rocky Mountain Guide Ventures and was extremely pleased with every aspect, from start to finish! I hired Jacob to drift me down the Salt River for a “scenic/photographic” tour and was simply amazed. Why I hadn’t explored that part of the US before is beyond me. On my float trip, I experienced perfect weather, fall foliage (the Aspen trees were unbelievable!) and even saw a Bald Eagle! Jacob educated me on so many facets of Wyoming and it’s natural beauty all the while was patient with my, “Wait”!, I need 5 more shots of that tree” to “Can I just sit and bask in the sun?” requests! Because of all my positive experiences, I’ve added a few new things to my bucket list…one of them being another guided tour with Rocky Mountain Guide Ventures, only this time down the Snake River. Thank you again for such an amazing experience, definitely a top notch company!”
